The original TakkTile 2 hand was a well-engineered research product that helped research labs explore advanced robotic grippers.
This gave the opportunity to use common arms and a advanced robotic grippers to study and better develop robotic pick/place systems for a wide suit of applications.
Areas which this design lacked was appeal and function to better the many users with their own unique projects. Many customers had their own types of arms which the hand needed to conform to. In addition the way these old hands were used was not ergonomically viable daily use .
